About the event
Local adventurer and guidebook writer, Sarah Lister will share why her first walk on Kinder Scout changed her perspective on life, and how this led towards a new career path - including the opportunity to write Mountain Walks Kinder Scout.
Her story will include anecdotes about learning how to navigate its peaks and groughs, adapting from living in London to the village of Edale, projects that have been born out of sharing the landscape with others, and the experience of writing her first book - Mountain Walks: Kinder Scout - 15 routes to enjoy on and around Kinder
Proceeds from this lecture will be donated to Support Dogs for Autism, Epilepsy and Disability
Sarah chose this Sheffield Charity because she met a volunteer who had one of the dogs with her in the Outside Cafe.
